Outing

Today we went to the movies with the orphanage kids. They were all dressed up in their best clothes and the girls had had their hair extra nicely done. We took the bus to the Tengis supermodern movie theater and saw Kung Fu Panda 2. I think the movie was a little scary for our small children, but they were very rational and took their 3-D glasses off when they didn't want to see what was happening on the screen.

The scariest thing wasn't the movie, though, but crossing the street, something we had to do on numerous occasions, with 11 children. We were only three adults accompanying them, and three adults have six hands, and six hands can't hold 11 children's hands ... Well, I actually held three children's hands, so maybe it is possible.

As I wrote the other day, the road in front of the orphanage is being dug up due to a water leakage problem. Today it was absolutely impossible to pass so we had to walk around the abandoned building in front of the orphanage. This was rather unpleasant as the whole area is used as a dump and there are many threats to small feet such as broken glass and sharp metal parts.
